How does it work?

The wedding couple goes to homeweddingregistry.com and register on-line.  Our banking partner, Cape Bank will then contact the couple to set up a savings account. Your photo and wedding info will be placed on the web site.  Now your friends and family can use our web site to gift money directly into your savings account.

How much does the Home Wedding Registry cost?

There is a one time $50.00 registration fee that will be applied toward your home purchase so long as you use a Realtor® that is referred to you by homeweddingregistry.com.

How do friends and family gift us money?

Your guests will go to the web site homeweddingregistry.com and click on “Find a Couple”.  After they have found your photo and wedding info, they will click on “Give a Gift”.  Your guests will be able to use a credit card or pay pal on a secure internet site to gift money directly into your savings account.  Your guests can also print a Gift Receipt to place in the wedding card.

What kind of savings account will I have?

You will open a traditional FDIC, interest bearing savings account with Cape Bank.  This will be a personal account opened in your names.  Homeweddingregistry.com is only able to deposit gift money into your account.  You will have access to your account just like any other traditional savings account.

How will we know who gifted us money?

You will receive a list of names and gift deposits that have been placed into your account.

What Realtor® should I use?

We will connect you with a Real Estate Professional in your area.  In order to have your $50.00 registration fee applied to your home purchase, you will be working with a Real Estate Professional that is referred to you by homeweddingregistry.com.

Where do we go for mortgage and financing information?

Visit homeweddingregistry.com and click on the “Partners” tab.  You will find a link to Lincoln Mortgage Company.  That’s a great place to start!  You can also ask your Realtor to recommend other mortgage professionals.

Can I still join other gift registries?

Yes, of course you can.  Just remember, the more focused you are on building that “home savings account”, the sooner you will be living in your first home together.

How do I let my guests know we are registered?

There are so many ways to get the word out.  You can put a link on your face book or other social networking accounts or send an email link to your friends.  Visit the web site and look for

the “Invitation Cards” tab; from there you can print Home Wedding Registry announcement cards to place in your shower or wedding invitations.
